Good news in the press this week, Winchester has been named the best place to live in the UK by the Sunday Times. The ancient capital of Wessex, was found to offer the best quality of life to the most people, hosting a positive community spirit, good shops and attractive outdoor spaces. I'm sure the 3 local golf courses and surrounding countryside all contributed.
There is plenty to keep you busy over the Easter weekend starting on Good Friday with the opening of the 12th Hole and a Stubby Stableford. This will be played from the White tees and enter on the day in the Pro shop. The cost will be the usual £4, but with £3 going to prizes and £1 to the Two's.
We are also running a 'Nearest the Pin' on the 12th on Good Friday whether you are playing in the competition or not. A £20 Pro shop voucher is up for grabs for either a Man or Lady to win.
On Saturday and Easter Sunday, the Short Course stableford's will be played from the yellow tees.
On Easter Monday there will be another Stubby stableford played from the white tees.
The only tee closure over the weekend is for the penultimate Capt/Pro match on Saturday from 11.55am - 12.05pm.

Some new and old faces this week in

Another lovely afternoon and so much better in the dry. 4 matches to go, I hope Adie keeps his form going.
