Well I spoke to soon regarding the weather, as the forecast isn't very good this week. Never mind, we have plenty of football to watch, and of course the US open starts on Thursday from Oakmont Country Club and surprisingly, NO Tiger won't be there.
Our picture of Jack last week stirred lots of interest, one member liked the Under Armour shirt so much he came in and bought one the very next day. Don't worry we still plenty to choose from.
This week Jack is modelling a FootJoy shirt, along with just a few bags we have to offer from Titleist and Motocaddy. All great gifts for Father's Day this Sunday, 19 June. We can cater for all requirements, alternatively we offer Gift Vouchers for lessons with Chris or myself or for shop goods.
Until Saturday, 18 June I am offering 15% OFF any item of men's clothing, (excludes logo clothing) so come on in and treat your dad.

Hybrids from the rough
What makes a Hybrid so much more effective than an iron from the rough?
First of all, it has a much wider sole than an iron, so the clubhead glides much easier through the grass. It doesn't dig or get caught up as easily as a narrow-soled iron does.
Secondly, it has a lower, deeper center of gravity more in line with a fairway wood, which helps you to get the ball airborne and launch it higher.
Lastly, it's lighter than an iron, which allows you to generate more clubhead speed. The more speed you're able to muster, the more spin you'll produce and the higher the ball will fly.
Come and see our range of Hybrids or click here to book a lesson.
The Ladies Trimmer Cup played last week was won by Fiona Williams with 39 points.
Ladies Championship
The Ladies were not so lucky with the weather for their championship as the day started out wet and remained breezy all day.
However, Beth Goater, pictured left, retained her title by winning the championship by 7 shots on 148. Runner Up was Sue Poulter.
The Fuchsia BowlThe 18-hole
Fuchsia Bowl was won by
Nicky Stilwell, pictured, with a nett 71.
Hezlet match report
The ladies' Hezlet team lost 3-2 in a very close match in the semi-finals at Brockenhurst on Saturday. The three Barrows were out in force, and although Chris beat Charlotte, the other two proved too strong for us on their home course.
As Captain, I would like to thank the whole squad and especially Chris for playing just before she set off for the Senior Strokeplay Championship (and wish her lots of good luck), and also
Fiona Williams for stepping in cheerfully at relatively late notice. We did well to get to the semis. Let's make it to the final next year!
