'It is deceased, it is no longer' for all you Monty Python fans.
Unfortunately, Richard Arrowsmith's drive pitched on this poor seagull on the 15th fairway during the Captain's Drive In competition on Saturday.
The charity parking space winner was
Adrian Nicol, with the correct guess of the combined Captains drive of 793 yards. Adrian now gets another year of priority parking just moving along a little from the Captains spot he occupied this year!
Funds raised for the charity were
£202 plus the
£230 from the Drive in Competition, so thank you to all that had a go and played.
Naomi House & Jacksplace hospices provide expert hospice care to more than 340 life-limited and life-threatened children, young people and their extended families from Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Berkshire, West Sussex, Surrey and the Isle of Wight.
Care costs money; £7 million per year to be precise. With only 10% of income coming from Government and statutory sources, Naomi House & Jacksplace are reliant on the support of people like you, a local charity and very worthy cause.
Captain's CharityMy final role as Captain was to present a cheque to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and thanks to your generosity we raised a total of
£6 655.37. I would like to say a special thank you to Past Ladies Captain
Jean White and Past Seniors Captain
Geoff Charnley for their fantastic support with their fund-raising events throughout the year.
Pictured are
John Parker and
Richard Bedford from the Air Ambulance receiving the cheque.
Once again many thanks to all of you who contributed to this extremely worthy charity.

The afternoon saw the past captains putt out, with a nice little 4 Jab from
Adie Nicol. Whilst the new Captains drove in with style with only one Captain missing the fairway, let's just leave that there.
The Capt/Pro dates have now posted, sign up early for this popular event. All we ask is for a minimum donation of
£10 per pair for the charity, of course we will accept more and to enjoy a fun afternoon of golf with Gary and myself.

New In - SeeMore Putters These putters are hugely common in the states, but are now being distributed over here.
SeeMore Putters offer you a new alignment putting system, their RifleScope Technology (RST), known by a visible gun sight on the top line, allows you to set up the putter perfectly each and every time in relation to the intended target line. This is accomplished by lining up the black bottom portion of the shaft between two white lines and covering a signature red dot on the heel of the top line.
The process is like locking radar onto a target. The two parallel white sight lines frame the shaft and serve as an indicator that you are in perfect position to make a consistent and reliable stroke.
Come and see Jack for a fitting or to try the putters for yourself.
We have only had the demo models for a week and have sold 2 putters already
