Learn To Repeat Your Putting Stroke
Consistently good putting requires a consistent action. Too often, amateurs stroke putts using only their hands and arms. This leads to inconsistent contact, which in turn makes it difficult to control pace on the greens. It's effective sometimes, but difficult to repeat.
Ideally, you want your hands and arms working in unison with your chest and shoulders to control the putter's motion and keep the face square to its path. Here's a great drill to hone a unified stroke. Take an empty water bottle and position it between your right biceps and your rib cage. Set up to the putt as you normally would and make a stroke while maintaining pressure on the water bottle. You should immediately start to feel a distinct connection between the movement of your upper body with the swinging motion of your hands and arms. Keep using this drill, and you'll unify your putting stroke and consistently hit putts more solidly.

Volunteers Required
We after some lady volunteers to operate the refreshments from the 11th on Pro-Am Day Wednesday, 24 May. Starting about 10:30am through to 4:30pm, on a rota basis. Please let Tracy know if you are able to help. Thank you.
Texas Scramble Result
An excellent turn out for the Texas Scramble on Bank holiday Monday with 160 members taking part. Luckily only a few got caught in the afternoon showers! Our winners with 55.1 points were Dave Hughes, Dan Kelly, Guy Patterson and Rob Whittington closely followed by Kevin Burnett-Whalley, Colin Field, Sean Green and Peter Robbins with 55.2 points. Full results can be found on the main noticeboard.
Millennium League
Well done to CaptainSteve Pullen and the team for a hard fought away half on Sunday against last year's League winners, Blackmoor. No matches now until the home match against Ferndown on Sunday, 21 May.
Lithium Battery Trade-in
Do you have a lead acid battery? Is your current battery struggling to get you round the course? Is your current battery weighing down your trolley?
If any of the above apply to you then why not take advantage of the already popular lithium battery trade-in. Simply trade in your old battery and you will receive £25 OFF a new lithium battery or lithium battery Motocaddy trolley. A lithium battery has many benefits and here are just a few to show you why it makes sense to buy one; extremely light weight in comparison to a lead acid up to five years warranty on a lithium battery longer lifetime. A standard 18-hole lead acid battery will average 250 rounds before needing to be replaced, a lithium will last four times as long as that and averages 1000 rounds of golf before needing to be replaced. Hurry as this offer finishes on Sunday, 14 May.
The Complete Equipment Solution
We want to help you enjoy better golf, which is why we've teamed up with PING and Callaway to offer you the 'Complete Equipment Solution'. We are offering FREE custom fittings and then a FREE lesson with your new equipment. It's so important for golfers of all abilities - particularly amateurs, who have far more to gain - to get custom fitted, as opposed to leaving it to chance, like you'd be doing if you bought standard spec clubs straight off the shelf.
