Hello golfers, Welcome to another edition of the weekly newsletter bringing you up to date with all the latest news and offers from Hockley Golf Club. I hope you've all had a good week on and off the golf course, mainly off as most of us were stranded at home? I am hoping none of you were caught up in the snow on the A31 last Thursday night?

Sponsorship Many thanks again to Mark Mills Goodlet and Winchester Skoda for their continued car sponsorship. The car is an Octavia SEL 1.5 TSI Estate so there is plenty of room for a set of clubs in a tour bag and an electric trolley. |

Masters Sweepstake We now count down to the Masters, only four weeks away and our Masters Draw is now up and running. Who are you tipping to win? Will Sergio Garcia defend his title? Or could Tiger surprise us, if you’re not sure then why not enter our Masters Sweepstake. Only £5 per ticket for your chance to win the first prize of over a £100 to spend in the pro shop, this would certainly knock a dent in the new driver or trolley you may be considering purchasing. We will also be running daily prizes of £10 each for the best and worst scores and the main prizes will go to fifth place.

Bag trade-in With the golfing season nearly upon us there’s no better time to treat yourself or someone else to a new golf bag, especially as we are offering you up to £20 OFF selected golf bags when you trade-in your old bag. Sorry, but I had to use this photo as Jenni our ‘Wannabee’ assistant sneaked into the picture to add some glamour.

Odyssey O-Works Red and Black Putters As used by the winner of the WGC Championship Phil Mickelson, the new O-Works putters have created a new way to roll, and they will change how you look at putting. The Microhinge Insert provides incredible gains in topspin and roll at impact regardless of your stroke. The stainless steel plate is co-molded into an Thermoplastic Elastomer Feel Layer, providing great feel which helps to get the ball into a better roll at impact. We have the putters with a black or red finish which is a popular choice of Tour Professionals. Come and try one and see the difference.

Listen to what he has to say |
We’ve been hammering home the importance of getting your clubs regripped for the past few weeks now, so we thought we’d take a closer look at one particular grip that we’re currently offering to put on your 7-iron for FREE… |
| Interview with David Leadbetter | Golf Instructor |

Why try the Golf Pride Align grip? You might think launching a new golf grip is like reinventing the wheel, but this Golf Pride Align grip really has broken the mould. Its key feature is the raised ridge on the back of the grip. By feeling this ridge each time you hold a club, you’ll have a physical aid to your grip position. This will help you achieve more consistent hand placements, which should only lead to more consistent results. |
