Battery Trade-In ends this Sunday The lithium battery trade-in ends this weekend, simply trade-in your old battery and you will receive £25 OFF a new lithium battery. A lithium battery has many benefits and here are just a few to show you why it makes sense to buy one; extremely light weight in comparison to a lead acid up to five years warranty on a lithium battery longer lifetime. A standard 18-hole lead acid battery will average 250 rounds before needing to be replaced, a lithium will last four times as long as that and averages 1000 rounds of golf before needing to be replaced.

Perfect for cooler rounds Yes, we've enjoyed a record-breaking Early May Bank Holiday weekend without a sweater in sight, but the reality is temperatures will soon get a little cooler over the coming days. To combat the chill whilst on the course, especially early mornings or late evenings, consider a ProQuip quilted windproof, which provide lightweight warmth whilst blocking out any wind. |

Jean White and Judie Lewis won the Hockley Hares Trophy, Jean organised this competition originally and presented the two Hockley Hares. Fiona Williams and Lesley Milne were runners-up. It was so nice to play in lovely sunny weather this week let's hope it continues. Good luck to Helen Bailey and Pat Munro when they play the next round of the Knight Cup at Tylney Park on Monday, 4 June after winning the first round against Sherfield Oaks.

The Delhi Cup – HELP REQUIRED The Delhi Cup is a prestigious event which attracts a quality entry from Hampshire and some surrounding counties and the golf committee are keen that the success of last year’s event can at least be equalled if not surpassed. So, a significant number of volunteers are required to assist with registration, starting, ball spotting as well as flag waving on the 6th and 13th fairways, the response from members last year was superb and the golf committee hopes that the members will be as generous with their time again this year. A sign-up sheet had been posted in the foyer or please contact Adrian Nicol or Paul Brown for any further information. Bank Holiday Monday, 28 May the Satterthwaite Salvers, this is a mixed foursomes event open to ALL members. The sign-up sheet has now been posted in the foyer.

Let’s face it: we all want to hit the ball further. Being able to hit longer drives gives you less club into the green, making everything that little bit easier. There are many ways you can try and generate more power during your swing, and nearly all of them start from the ground up. |
Trust your footwear Despite his small frame, tour star Rickie Fowler is renowned for his power. As you can see in the three images above, he pushes off from his right foot through impact and relies on great grip and stability to ensure the power his body is creating doesn’t come at the cost of control. Having a strong base is something we should all aspire for. The Under Armour Spieth 2 can help you do this thanks to its unique Rotational Resistance cleats that will give you traction in every direction across all terrains. |
