Jack's travels Jack and Megan returned home safe and sound from their travels last Thursday, along with a surprise for Tracy and I. Ben our eldest son has been away working in America for two and a half months also arrived, we didn’t think he was due back until this week, it is great having the family back together.
Jack and Megan visited 26 countries, travelled 48,000 miles, took 26 flights along with various coach and train journeys. Peru and Japan were their favourite places and now they have to start replenishing their bank balances!

Happy Birthday... A few special birthdays to mention this week, to our General Manager Paul Brown who is celebrating his 50th birthday on Thursday and to Past Captain Paul Mantell, who will be 65 also on Thursday. Paul celebrated early last week by joining me in the Moors Valley Pro-Am and winning with the team of Adrian Nicol, Jonathan Russell and Joanne Russell, they had a team score of 22 under! This is Adie’s first Pro-Am win, well done and thanks for a great day, I managed second individual pro place.
Paul and Adie are pictured with their prizes of TaylorMade golf bags, four bottles of local ale and a fourball to Royal Winchester Golf Club. Jo and Jonathan couldn’t stay for prize giving, but did send me a picture of Jonathan and his son-in-law celebrating with the ale.

Just arrived the Callaway XR Speed range As its name suggests, this Callaway driver is geared to help you swing faster for more power and longer shots. What’s not to like?
New X Face VFT Technology is behind the lightest and most flexible face Callaway has ever designed, while the carbon composite crown is 45% lighter than the titanium crown on the XR 16 model this driver replaces to significantly improve the forgiveness and speed it offers. Key features and benefits include: - X Face VFT Technology creates more flexible face to boost ball speeds.
- Ultralight Triaxial carbon crown provides extra mass to improve forgiveness.
- Aerodynamic Speed Step crown reduces drag for faster head speeds.
- Adjustable hosel so we can fine tune your ball flight.
- Available in 9, 10.5 and 13.5, plus women's 10.5 and 13.5.
We want you to have the correct club, so book a custom fitting here with one of our team of trained experts to find the perfect set-up for your swing. Using our GC2 launch monitor lets you see exactly what happens at golf’s moment of truth – impact – so you can get the perfect equipment match for your swing.
