New stock now in... The supermarket shelves may be empty, but ours are filling up fast with lots of spring and summer stock arriving and our new adidas wall is looking great thanks to member Ed Player and the team at adidas for the new backdrop.
We are gradually working on the displays around the shop, to bring you the best from Under Armour, JRB and Swing Out Sister.

Now into the home stretch... Well at least, this week both pairs turned up, our opponents this week were Derek Noyce and Roger Broadgate with Drew Gibson and Brian Marriott. On another challenging day, we had two tough matches; the wet conditions certainly got the better of us. Derek and Roger started well and kept on top of us all the way around, despite Roger playing ten holes in the morning it didn’t show as they played very steady to hammer us 5&4, this is one of our biggest defeats.
Our other game with Drew and Brian stayed close all the way around with never more than one hole in it, but after they won fourteen to go one-up, the Captain and I parred fifteen and sixteen to go one-up. Then from nowhere, we birdied seventeen to close out the game 2&1.
With only four more matches to go, we’re into the home stretch, so with better weather predicted we’ll keep our fingers crossed.

News from Dave... The Seniors started the 2020 season of friendly matches on a superb spring day on Monday, 16 March with a convincing 41/2 to 11/2 victory, away to Barton on Sea. Steve Hill-Cousins and I led the way with a 5&4 win, followed by John Taylor and Barry Murfin winning 2&1. Gordon Dewis and Martin Chapple along with Derek Bennett and David Greenhalgh each recorded 4&3 victories. Peter Fuge and Paul Wynn halved their match, with the only disappointment coming from our last pair of Teelou and Steve Davis, who succumbed on the last hole.
Great start to 2020 and we are still hoping more seniors will sign up to the squad, to represent our Club.
The more exciting news is, that we have agreed to hold fixtures with Blackmoor G.C. from 2020, even more reason to sign up for possible selection.

Family Foursomes A disappointing low entry this year with only thirteen pairs taking part in the annual Family Foursomes event on Sunday. What started as a chilly but dry day ended up being cold and wet but thankfully, everybody persevered and completed their rounds.
In third place with 34 points were father and son pair Jon and Zac Bulloch losing out on countback on the back six to Rich and Dave Gillespie who went one better than their third-place finish in Saturday’s St. Paddy's Day competition. But leading the way with an outstanding 40 points were father and daughter Nick and Beth Goater who are pictured collecting the trophy from Captain Sean.
