First competition back... Friday saw the first men's competition since we returned to golf and the first with everyone (well nearly everyone) using the IG App to enter and keep their score. We had quite a few teething problems, but once explained a few times, most of you seemed to grasp the concept and Saturday and Sunday were much better. Chris did send out step by step instructions last week to help you, they are well worth a read BEFORE you next play. Please remember to upload a picture of your partner's scorecard after you have finalised your score and they must do the same, so we have a cross-reference on the IG system. Over the three stablefords, the best results were on Friday with Phil Newcombe 39 points and David Cooney 38 points. The Ladies Stableford on Sunday saw Helen Bailey take the honours with 34 points, closely followed by Gill Quick on 33 points. Wednesday's seniors Duff Putter was won by David Greenhalgh with an amazing 42 points.
Forthcoming Events Saturday, 27 June - The Tank Cup and Wells Trophy, a two-division medal played from the white tees. Sunday, 28 June - The Dreadnought Trophy, one division medal played from the white tees and a maximum allowance of 22. Tuesday, 30 June - The Ladies Trimmer Cup and a Men's short course Stableford.
