Knockout competitions

A reminder that the QUARTER-FINALS of THE TUTT BOWL and THE HERIOT are to be played by SUNDAY, 23 AUGUST and due to the short time between rounds there will be NO EXTENSIONS.

If your match has been played, please ensure the result has been recorded on the WEBSITE. If the winners are not posted by the round completion date, the game could be assumed not to have been played and therefore, both players/teams could be subject to elimination. WINNERS: please check that the win has been posted.

Who's been winning what?

Saturday's James Braid Medal was won by Kevin Bloomfield with a nett 64.

Sunday's Long Course Stableford results:

Division One winner was Michael Cherret with an excellent 45 points beating Chris Hyde on a countback.

Division Two winner was Jeremy Legge with 41 points.

Tuesday's Long Course Stableford was won by Vince Holmes in Division One with 43 points and the Division Two winner was junior Brandon Perrett on 45 points. His lesson with me on Saturday has certainly put him on the right track, well done Brandon.

Wednesday, 26 August - Men's Short Course Stableford.

Thursday, 27 August - Ladies 9 Hole Stableford.

The Sonny Sharpe Trophy on Sunday, 13 September is open for entry. A 36-hole event, 18 holes of Medal in the morning and 18 holes of Stableford in the afternoon, your Stableford points are deducted from your medal score.

It's great to see

Golf is going through a great period at the moment with lots of people taking the chance to play. One thing you'll notice is the number of golfers using an electric trolley to carry their clubs around the course, so we thought we'd highlight a couple of our favourites in this week's email.
